Aaliyah & Timbaland: Rare Photo

πŸ” via @officiallipgame: “Babygirl.Timbo. And me. I think this was GAVIN New Orleans, 1995. Aaliyah, her parents, Tim, Lil Kim and I shared a limo back to my hotel where I interviewed Timbaland for 3 hours. It would become his first ever trade feature. I am so grateful for the laughter and hugs Aaliyah and I shared. She was too good for this world…never be another. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ€²πŸ½πŸ’›πŸŽ€ #fbf #Thembisa25 #GavinEra #LegendsNeverDie”

Aaliyah: GAVIN Magazine, New Orleans, 1997

πŸ” via @officiallipgame: “Aaliyah autographed my column for #djmixxula at GAVIN New Orleans in 1997. She was there supporting her Atlantic labelmates Timbaland, Artifacts and Lil Kim. Shared a limo and much laughter with her and her lovely parents to the hotel, where I interviewed Timbo for 3 hours. That conversation would become his very first trade magazine feature. To be united energetically with her handwriting over my words is beautiful. There will never be another. #RIPBabygirl #GavinEra #Thembisa25 #lipgame eternal” | What a beautiful memory! Aaliyah: Promoting 'One In A Million' Album In New Orleans (1997) Video Snippet (RARE)

πŸ” via @adellhenderson101 “Here’s a #tbt with me and Aaliyah from 1997 that’ll never get old. She was promoting her instant classic ‘One in a Million’ album, and I was in college doing my local music video show 'Flexin…wit Adell’ on location in New Orleans long before YouTube. My bro @iamthahitman put me on that album early.@timbaland and @missymisdemeanorelliott turned a game changing corner sonically with this project which started a helluva run. I never saw babygirl again in person but I felt a huge reconnection to her at the time of her death in 2001 because I had just reviewed her self titled album 'Aaliyah’ for @YahooMusic. Shout out to @lyndseyparker and@billyjohnsonjr for looking out. So crazy to think it’s been 15 years. I’m definitely not new to this. #Aaliyah #RIP #MichiganMade #Flint #Detroit #Brooklyn #MSU #OG #HipHop #NewOrleans#YouTube #Yahoo #Flexin” | Thank you so much for sharing! πŸ™πŸ’š

Aaliyah: Captured Moments in Hip-Hop History, By Jonathan Mannion

So I happened to come across this video by chance and thought it would be nice to share with everyone. Being quite a creative person myself, I appreciate the time and effort that people put into their craft. Personally, I feel that Jonathan Mannion has to be one of my favorite photographers when it comes to capturing our beloved Babygirl. In this video below, he talks about some of the biggest legends he has shot throughout Hip-Hop history and culture. Gotta say...I really enjoyed watching this, especially the part where he talks about Aaliyah. A big thank you to TED-Ed for sharing this video!

Here are also few rare photo's of Aaliyah, which Jonathan Mannion released awhile ago and mentions within this video. Enjoy! :o)
