Via @photoham: “Black History Month 2014 - On day 19 of BHM… remembering Aaliyah. I knew she was a talented singer, but sky seemed to be the limit for her after the movie Romeo Must Die. What a tragedy. I remember this Soul Train Awards, but I forgot about this image. Just scanned with the Nikon Coolscan. So much history in the film archives! #blackhistory” | Thank you once again for sharing! And thanks to @weloveaaliyahhaughton for the tag! :o)

Aaliyah: Courtesy Of Walker Wear
I came across these pics awhile ago, but I thought it would be nice to showcase them on my main blog too ;) For those who are not familiar with Walker Wear they are a fashion based company which originated in Brooklyn (Aaliyah's place of birth!) during the early 90's era. Some of the most well known, greatest legends in Hip-Hop history such as Biggie and Tupac, also wore this particular brand. So during that time, it was pretty much a big deal, probably in the same league as Karl Kani another fashion brand that was very popular during the 90's. Above are some rare pics I came across which truly made my day, and I hope it does the same for you all too :o) One love! ♥

Aaliyah: Captured Moments in Hip-Hop History, By Jonathan Mannion
So I happened to come across this video by chance and thought it would be nice to share with everyone. Being quite a creative person myself, I appreciate the time and effort that people put into their craft. Personally, I feel that Jonathan Mannion has to be one of my favorite photographers when it comes to capturing our beloved Babygirl. In this video below, he talks about some of the biggest legends he has shot throughout Hip-Hop history and culture. Gotta say...I really enjoyed watching this, especially the part where he talks about Aaliyah. A big thank you to TED-Ed for sharing this video!
